The Energy Foundation has increased its capacity to provide energy solutions through the "Energy Van" service. The van is stocked with various energy diagnostic and measuring instruments that can be used to identify and quantify energy saving opportunities in businesses.

The equipment in the van includes the following:

14. Digital Distance Measure
15. Set of Mechanical Tools

With the van and the instruments, the Foundation now has the capacity to conduct on-site measurements and data analysis and interpretation so as to provide quick and reliable energy management services to a larger number of businesses including small to medium scale enterprises (SMEs). To further enhance capacity building in the energy management sector, the Foundation has made the van and the instruments available to registered Energy Services Companies (ESCos) on rental basis.

The Energy Van Service was launched by the Minister of Energy, Dr. Kwesi Nduom, at a ceremony in March 2004.
