 The
Energy Foundation conducted an energy audit of the Volta Hotel at
Akosombo. The audit revealed several areas of energy saving opportunities
in the hotel's operations which include the following:
1.
Air conditioning system replacement
2. Conversion of electric to solar water heating system
3. Installation of capacitor banks for power factor correction
4. Replacement of electric cooking range with gas-fired units
Proposals
have been submitted to the Hotel management for implementation.
The Energy Foundation will act as the project managers.
